Hi, I'm Marieke, an Amsterdam based artist, author and DJ. Through my work, I create spaces of hope, comfort and joie de vivre. I share a multi-layered story about grief, life, and living la vie en rose, using my favorite tools: music, words and dreamlike images.

As a DJ I curate and mix music to get you out of your busy head and into your loving soul and body. I do disco - techno - house - electronic - dance - funk - hiphop.... Because I believe: as long as it’s got soul, it will move you. Dance floor connection is the aim, to create a safe place to feel free, to dance, to love yourself.

With my talks, I bring a story of hope. Of how grief and big loss transformed me. The one thing that I thought that would destroy me, the loss of my child, gave me also creative power. It showed me true love. And everyday I am on the lookout of evidence of the immortality of the soul.
Human stories of hope are important. It can give you power and inspiration. Take from it what you need.
